Fitness Fusion
God gave you one body to steward for a lifetime. FLEX is designed to help you care for it well—building strength, stability, mobility, and confidence for every season of life.
FLEX is an opportunity to “encourage one another and build each other up” on this journey.
FLEX is a progressive strength and mobility class that combines Pilates-inspired movement, functional training, progressive resistance, and fascial mobility to help you become stronger, more capable, and more resilient.
Each session begins with 5 minutes of gentle rebounding to stimulate healthy lymphatic circulation before transitioning to focused mat work using combined focus of bodyweight resistance, adjustable dumbbells, exercise ball, resistance bands, stretching, breathwork, and controlled movement.
At the heart of FLEX is the proven principle of progressive overload. Rather than remaining at the same level, you’ll steadily increase resistance, control, and endurance over time—developing lasting strength, stability, and confidence one class at a time.

Meet Heather
With more than 30 years of experience teaching Physical Education, coaching gymnastics, soccer, cross country, volleyball, basketball, swimming, weight training, dance, yoga, and personal training, Heather has helped generations of students and adults discover the joy and confidence that come through movement. Known throughout our community for her enthusiasm, encouragement, and genuine love for people, she brings exceptional experience and contagious energy to every class.
Heather also serves alongside her husband who is a pastor at Journey Church, where her love for people and her faith naturally shape the way she leads. Her approach is welcoming, encouraging, and deeply relational—creating an environment where participants feel supported, challenged, and inspired to grow stronger together.
A personal note from Heather:
In class we explore practical ways to care for the body, mind, and spirit—tools, habits, and guidance that help us show up more fully. Yet behind every tool is a deeper invitation: to notice the One who designed it all..
I have always best experienced God’s Nature in nature. God’s design of the ecosystem and biodiversity in our natural environment moves my heart to worship Him. Just as ecosystems have their own integrated design, the human body’s homeostasis and orchestration reflect God’s handiwork—and that truth has deeply enriched my walk with Jesus.
Whether it’s a quiet walk through the woods or feeling The Lord’s strength when I am weak in a work out, I believe being immersed in appreciating and stewarding His creation can be one of the most powerful ways to experience God’s presence, peace, and purpose.
My mission is to not only supply tools and guidance, but equally to create an atmosphere of opportunity for offering our best efforts toward a well maintained mind, body, and spirit, within a community of positivity, support, and accountability.
